About the Artist

Silvi Glattauer

Silvi Glattauer (born in Argentina) is a practicing photomedia artist from Melbourne, Australia. A founding member of The Baldessin Press & Studio, she is recognised as an authority on the Photopolymer Photogravure process as well as working with a range of other photographic processes.

Glattauer's images are about beauty as felt by the senses of sight and touch. Her approach is to collect, to archive, to classify and to record. The central themes relate to nature and narratives which are strongly related to storyboards of time and place. There is a connecting thread between materiality, object, and preciousness.

Glattauer has exhibited throughout Australia and abroad and her work is held in many private and public collections. She has been a Boweness finalist three times and winner of the prestigious Nillumbik Prize.

What is your return policy?

Please choose carefully as we do not offer refunds, exchanges or credit notes for change of mind on any one-off items which includes vintage furniture, original art and objects and made-to-order products. For any item that we hold repeatable stock of, we offer a limited return policy. This policy covers in-stock prints purchased in store, and some homewares and objects (return policy details can be found on individual product pages).

Do you offer click and collect?

Yes! Please select the option when checking out for pick up from our store on 311 Smith Street, Wurundjeri, Fitzroy. For larger items that require a vehicle, this entrance is the only access to our store. Unfortunately, we cannot offer assistance to your vehicle so please collect your items with this in mind.
