This original artwork is a part of Tracing Change, a group exhibition showcasing the work of artists from the Modern Times community and beyond. Tracing Change invites both artists and audience to trace back through thoughts and experiences, and experience a gratitude or curiosity for the ability to grow, transmute and transform.
“This piece represents an exploration of change and a venture into new forms, where shapes evolve into abstract silhouettes, resembling geometric monuments. By examining shape and scale variations, the sculpture aims to transport viewers to different realms, enticing them to immerse themselves in the creative possibilities of the unknown. 'Shape Study' serves as a portal to an alternative world, inviting viewers to uncover their own narratives and interpretations," says Grace Brown (Oh Hey Grace).

Grace Brown of Oh Hey Grace creates a mix of functional and sculptural pieces using a combination of wheel thrown and hand building techniques. Influenced by geometry, contrasting textures, architectural forms and the work of M.C. Escher, her work is part functional ware and part Utopian cityscapes with labyrinth-like buildings featuring layers of geometric stairwells, sharp lines, smooth adobe domes and archways.

Please choose carefully as we do not offer refunds, exchanges or credit notes for change of mind on any one-off items which includes vintage furniture, original art and objects and made-to-order products. Do you offer click and collect?
Yes! Please select the option when checking out for pick up from our store on 311 Smith Street, Wurundjeri, Fitzroy. For larger items that require a vehicle, this entrance is the only access to our store. Unfortunately, we cannot offer assistance to your vehicle so please collect your items with this in mind.
