This original artwork is a part of Tracing Change, a group exhibition showcasing the work of artists from the Modern Times community and beyond. Tracing Change invites both artists and audience to trace back through thoughts and experiences, and experience a gratitude or curiosity for the ability to grow, transmute and transform.

"These paintings depict a rainbow in the moment just as it is about to take form. Because rainbows appear in the liminal space between rainstorms and sunshine they have been said to symbolize transformation. On another level, to view a rainbow and take in its glory evokes a transformative experience in which one slows down, connects to the present moment and experiences the indistinguishable; a space where something is emerging out of a range of possibilities," says Power.

About the Artist

Rebeccah Power

Using the immense winter sky and rugged landscape of her home on Boonwurrung country on the Bass Coast in Victoria as subject matter, Rebeccah Power creates paintings that can be described as atmospheric, ethereal and hazy. This series of paintings available exclusively through Modern Times aim to capture the moment between formlessness and form and allow one to experience the indistinguishable; a space where something is emerging out of a range of possibilities.

After graduating with a painting degree from the Victorian College of Arts, Power has developed an extensive exhibition history that includes shows locally, nationally and internationally and she has received several accolades including the Besen Family Foundation: Arts and Culture Grant, The MCollection Award; Peoples Choice Award, Copyright Agency Limited; Creative Industries Development Fund and Calleen Art Award; finalist.

What is your return policy?

Please choose carefully as we do not offer refunds, exchanges or credit notes for change of mind on any one-off items which includes vintage furniture, original art and objects and made-to-order products. Do you offer click and collect?

Yes! Please select the option when checking out for pick up from our store on 311 Smith Street, Wurundjeri, Fitzroy. For larger items that require a vehicle, this entrance is the only access to our store. Unfortunately, we cannot offer assistance to your vehicle so please collect your items with this in mind.
