About the artist:

Victorian artist Stacey Rees is fascinated by people and continues her exploration of notions surrounding identity and the way we present ourselves. Her work looks beyond a person's physical characteristics and speculates on their inner self. Stacey reflects on the smartphone phenomenon in contemporary society, in an avant-garde style that draws on features of people from magazines, as well as from her own reflection.

This print has a lead time of 2 to 4 weeks for unframed, or 4 to 6 weeks for framed. Please contact the team for more information.

Fine art reproduction print on archival cotton rag paper using fade-resistant pigmented ink.

Framing

Select framed or unframed. Our framing is exceptional quality, conservation standard and available in a range of finishes. Unframed prints are shipped rolled in a tube. It is advised that it is only removed from the packaging by your framer. Framed prints are shipped via one of our trusted art couriers, insured for loss or damage.

About the Artist

Stacey Rees

Stacey Rees is fascinated by people, she likes to look beyond their physical characteristics and speculate on their inner self. In her first solo exhibition, All Your Gold she presents a collection of abstract portraits that transcend likeness, interrogating ideas of identity and the public versus private self.

Portraiture, traditionally a privilege available only to the wealthy wishing to immortalise their own image, is today at the fingertips of every smartphone user. Stacey reflects on this phenomenon of contemporary culture, in an avant-garde style that draws on features of people from magazines as well as her own reflection. “Within my portraits I try to display emotions of people caught up in today’s society exploring both self-worth and self-indulgence” she explains.

Please choose carefully as we do not offer refunds, exchanges or credit notes for change of mind on any one-off items which includes vintage furniture, original art and objects and made-to-order products. Do you offer click and collect?

Yes! Please select the option when checking out for pick up from our store on 311 Smith Street, Wurundjeri, Fitzroy. For larger items that require a vehicle, this entrance is the only access to our store. Unfortunately, we cannot offer assistance to your vehicle so please collect your items with this in mind.
