We ship Australia-wide and internationally using trusted couriers who specialise in transporting art and furniture. Shipping costs vary depending on the size and nature of your order so please use our shipping calculator on each product page for estimates, or find additional information below.
General
International Delivery
As a general rule, all items that can be safely shipped via regular post, can be purchased online and shipped overseas.
Large artworks and fragile objects need to be shipped in custom crates via specialty shipping services, so require individual quotes. Please contact us for more information and a quote.
Shipping furniture overseas is case-by-case. Please contact us for more information and a quote.
Fees
Delivery charges are based on shipment location, product type and total volume of your order. Total shipping fees can be viewed on the final checkout page.
Due to the specialised service and geographical variations of an Australia-wide service, all quoted shipping prices are subject to change. Whilst all efforts are made to provide accurate up-to-date prices, in the unusual instance you are quoted or charged an incorrect shipping fee, our team will be in touch to discuss your options. You will not be obliged to proceed with the purchase.
Orders with multiple lead times will be delivered together once all products are in stock. If you would prefer to pay additional shipping to split your deliveries, please contact us.
Delivery Times + Tracking
Delivery windows and tracking details for parcel deliveries will be emailed once the order is processed by Modern Times.
Custom orders and out of stock items have varying lead times that can be found on product pages and will be listed on your order. Once your order is nearing completion our team will be in touch with your delivery day.

Missed Deliveries
If you miss your delivery, supply incorrect details or your delivery is returned, you will be charged a re-delivery fee. Please advise if you suddenly aren’t available during your delivery timeslot. You must accept delivery or collect your goods within 14 days of availability notification or we may charge a storage fee per week. Please talk to our sales team if you have any issues.
Insurance
For parcel deliveries, once tracking details are supplied, our shipping partner is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of your purchase. If you've recieved tracking details and strike issues with delivery try making contact with our shipping provider first. If the issue is not resolved to your satisfaction, please contact our sales team with the order and tracking details.
Furniture
Prior to placing your order, it is important that you consider where the items will be placed, and any potential delivery obstacles. Consider entry ways, flights of stairs, corridor and door widths, turning point on stairwell, lift size, narrow rear acces etc. If goods are unable to be delivered due to access, the customer is liable to pay for return shipping back to the warehouse. We provide a premium delivery service within 50km of Melbourne CBD. This service includes:
- A two-hour delivery window the day of delivery
- An additional notification when driver is 30 mins away
- Assembly of item if required
- Rubbish / packaging removal
We provide a standard delivery service outside 50km of Melbourne CBD. This service includes:
- A two-hour delivery window the day of delivery
- An additional notification when driver is 30 mins away
- Placement in room of choice
Delivery takes two to four weeks depending on location.
Specialty Art Service
Large or fragile artworks that can not be safely shipped by post will be shipped via a specialty door-to-door Art Courier.
Small Art + Objects
Objects, unframed prints and small artworks that can be safely sent in the post are shipped via Australia Post or courier.
Please allow three to five business days for your Modern Times order to arrive.
Please note we cannot ship to PO boxes.
