Born in Queensland, Rachel Farlow now lives and works in Melbourne. Her practice explores the history of painting, popular culture and personal experiences, resulting in intimate abstract paintings.

Small in scale, spontaneous gestures are paired with considered forms that never entirely reveal their referent. There is an openness to Rachel’s approach encompassing everything within her path.

Rachel received an undergraduate degree in Visual Arts at Southern Cross University before undertaking a scholarship in Ontario, Canada in 2016 at Brock University. She has showed in various exhibitions nationally and her work is held in private and public collections throughout Australia and abroad.
