The Teapot Project is an inspiring collaboration between Hendrik Forster – a leading figure in the landscape of Australian silversmiths, with Kenny Yong-soo Son – a young object designer and metalsmith combining a keen curiosity with reverence for craft and discipline.

In this powerful joining of forces, Forster and Son explore the social and historical context surrounding the production and use of the teapot – an object with an important cultural history in both East and West. The project also illustrates a distinctive collaboration between two practitioners who hail from different cultural, generational and educational backgrounds, and who are able to work closely together on a single project with a parallel vision.
