As our regular visitors know, our Smith Street space is an ever-changing showcase of newly restored vintage styled with contemporary Australian design and artworks.

One of our highlights and privileges is styling these works and for those of you who can’t see them in situ, we thought putting together a magazine-style edit would be the perfect way to illustrate the diversity of what we have to offer and an insight into how we style each of the ‘rooms’.

“This week I’m loving the organic forms and tones from ceramicists Anna Gleeson (a forever favourite) and Bastard Ceramics. For me, these pieces act as a visual anchor because of their distinct and bold personalities.

Pictured above, from left to right: 1. Notes At Midnight, Ceramic by Bastard Ceramics; 2. Model 2226 Spanish Chair by Borge Mogensen for Fredericia in Cognac Leather, 1960s, Denmark; 3. Model No 18. Sideboard by Gunni Omann for Omann Jun in Rosewood, 1960s, Denmark; 4. Checkered Vessel with Buttons, Stoneware by Anna Gleeson; 5. Dancing Pot, Stoneware by Anna Gleeson; 6. Coffee Table with Brass and Glass, 1970s, The Netherlands; 7. Medium Bright Things Lamp by Jordan Fleming; 8. Erosion, Dye Sublimation on Aluminium by Daniel O'Toole; 9. 2 Seat Tentazione 685 Sofa by Mario Bellini for Cassina, 1970s, Italy; 10. Surface Sconce in Blackened Bronze by Henry Wilson; 11. Tentazione 685 Armchair by Mario Bellini for Cassina, 1970s, Italy; 12. Vase, Ceramic by Bastard Ceramics

I always find myself turning to the works of Daniel O’Toole and Jordan Fleming to add colour and an ultra contemporary aesthetic to contrast with vintage. And I can’t stop daydreaming about the Model 2226 Spanish Chair and Model No.18 Sideboard by Gunni Omann - absolutely stunning pieces to show off in any setting,”
