Iconic model 2240 desk lamp designed by Harvey Guzzini for iGuzzini, Italy c1970. The lamp features an acrylic shade with a chromed steel top, stem and flat circular base. The height of the shade is adjustable and two bayonet light bulbs can be fitted under the shade.
Due to technical innovations of the time, these lamps were amongst the first to have joined plastic and metal elements by assembling them with the superglue cyanoacrylate.
These lamps were designed with the intention of having a family of products (hanging, floor, table) used in various rooms of the house from the bedroom to the kitchen, coordinated formally.
