“Je suis l’espace où je suis.” (I am the space where I am.) - Noël Arnaud.
Mini Spaces Sculpture in Timber and Ceramic by Hearth Collective. Alichia van Rhijn is an artist, sculptor and teacher who runs an arts-based practice under her brand Hearth Collective. Hearth Collective is a multi-disciplinary studio producing works ranging from ceramics, woodworking and metal ware. Alichia is deeply passionate about nature as well as the built environment and draws a lot of her inspiration from her travels and the spaces she encounters.
This piece is made in collaboration with Modern Times, exclusively for ‘Modern Rituals’; a series of highly covetable objects that signify and connect to rituals within practice, daily life and the artists own culture. We hope that you find something special within this collection to gift to your loved ones this Christmas.
”A collective sculptural installation exploring the notion of ‘sacred space’ with the ability to be played and interacted with, re-arranged and engaged with, hopefully initiating momentary pause or personal solace and reflection.” - Alichia van Rhijn
