RAAK Amsterdam thumb

Raak Light Architecture was set up by C.O Lockhorn in Amsterdam in 1954.  It manufactured a range of glass and metal lighting in a minimal, futuristic style through to the 1970’s. The name Raak (Dutch for ‘hit’ or ‘strike’) implies a company that hits the nail on the head both in function and design.

The RAAK Amsterdam Design Group cooperated with many international designers and architects that included E.J Jellis, Sergio Asti, Frank Ligtelijn, Bertrand Balas, Maija Liisa Komulainen and Nanny Still.
