Chris Ingham was born in Adelaide, Australia in 1974. Since relocating to Melbourne in 1999, Chris has been exploring traditional mediums and methods of making art; specifically bronze sculpture and printmaking and has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows, which eventually led to the Collie Print Trust Scholarship in printmaking at the Australian Print Workshop in 2007.

During this time he also worked as a scientific glass blower, a foundry technician at the Fundere Fine Art Foundry and as teacher of bronze casting at the Centre of Adult Education.

In 2010 Chris was awarded a traineeship at the Australian Print Workshop as a custom printer in etching and lithography, at which time he also travelled overseas to Cork, Ireland to do a 10 week residency at Cork Printmakers, concentrating on lithography and etching. In early 2013 Chris did a 1 month residency at La Ceiba Grafica in Mexico making lithographs on Mexican marble and travelling back through New York, Istanbul and Indonesia.  In early 2014 Chris travelled around central Europe visiting art galleries and print workshops and also putting together a series of impressions and drawings which are currently being translated into prints.

Currently, Chris works part time as a workshop technician and teacher of short printmaking courses at the Australian Print Workshop, in addition to making his own art and exhibiting widely in Australia and Europe.
