Most of our furniture comes from Denmark, but we occasionally have pieces from other parts of Scandinavia too. We go to Denmark and select the best pieces to import back into Australia.
All the furniture we stock is original vintage, mostly from the 1950's and 1960's. We do not sell reproduction furniture.
Our furniture is beautifully restored in-house by our expert team of restorers. Sometimes we acquire pieces in such great condition that little or no restoration is required.
We do not offer a restoration service.
Almost all furniture from this period is timber veneer. It is common to find a piece has veneer faces, such as on a sideboard, and then for the legs, handles and edging to be solid wood.
The beautiful book-matched patterns which are a feature of Danish Modern furniture are only possible using veneer. Another interesting point is that timber furniture which uses veneer is actually stronger and more stable than solid timber due to the lamination process.
See item descriptions for details on individual pieces.
Insurance is not included in the shipping costs at checkout. If you would like your item/s to be insured whilst in transit please contact us to arrange a quote.
